Spaghetti Bolognese is really a British-Italian dish, but I consider the dish to be Italian. The reason I say British-Italian- is because in Italy bolognese is usually served with thicker pastas such as pappardelle or tagliatelle.
I used to enjoy this dish at school, in fact it was one of my favourite dishes to eat at lunch time. The spaghetti was always cooked to perfection and the meat sauce was tasty and delicious.
This dish is in my top 100 list of dishes, not at the top half, but at the bottom half. I love the simple preparation and making it is actually quite fun. It's great for a week night meal, when you don't want to spend hours slaving over a hot stove.
Spaghetti Bolognese is extremely popular in the UK AND kids love it. This simple and easy recipe, is a great one to have in your list of dishes; if you enjoy pasta, and certainly if you are a meat eater.
