The All American Apple Pie is not American. It is actually British and Western European in origin, and of the most cherished and adored desserts in the world. When made right it's so very delicious and so tasty.
Apple Pie is not always easy to get right the first time you make it. The first time I made it I was close, THE SECOND TIME I NAILED IT.
You really need to tailor the Pie to your taste and take the necessary steps to ensure the Pie is not soggy and that it has enough seasoning.
Unless you have all the time in the world I would not advise bothering to make a Pie Crust pastry. Though I do have a full proof recipe from Ina Garten that works every time. But why bother with the hassle. And why bother with the hassle of peeling 25 Apples to make a Pie when sliced cored and peeled Apples are sold in cans at the Supermarket.
This is an easy fast track recipe that will cut time in half and render the best results.
