I Love British Cuisine

The best thing about growing up in England, has been my exposure to British Cuisine. The ancient, old fashioned, and highly dated reputation of English food being bad is just that; It's a highly out of date theory. I fantasize in another life, that I've grown up in a US BEACH TOWN. Somewhere like Santa Monica, San Diego, OR Miami. I always envy people who have grown up in those "type" of places. I imagine that their childhood was filled with sea, sun, and sand; and they get to live in what I consider to be the greatest country in the world. The U...S...A!
But I digress. British Food is not only one of the best cuisines in the world, it has also influenced other cuisines all over the world. Yet Britain gets little credit for this. I have often said that desserts are one of the main reasons I love British food so much. Desserts like Apple Pie; which is not as All American as people think. In fact Apple Pie is a British Dessert, given to America during the British colonization of the US. I love Fish and Chips, Yorkshire Puddings, and Victoria Sponge Cake. And much more. Below I list my Top 10 Favourite British Dishes and Desserts.
