If there was only food I could eat for the rest of my life it would have to be Jamaican Festival. This is a long overdue recipe, because it's taken me years to develop a great recipe for festival.
Dumplings are very popular in Jamaica; they are enjoyed boiled, fried, as a side dish, or part of a soup or stew.
Festival are very similar to another kind of fried dumpling in Jamaica, but they are more of a street food, and commonly eaten with JERK BARBECUE Chicken or Pork, or Escovitch fish. They are made of a mixture of cornmeal and flour, mixed with spices such as Cinnamon, Nutmeg/and or Allspice and Vanilla. When done right, they are the most delicious treat.
